I understand that the front tow eye in D3 is suitable only for towing NOT recovery in offroad conditions.
The upgrade of the front recovery point has been discussed here:
http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic3657.html
but without conclusion
Does anyone know if there are any accessories available for D3 (apart from electric winch of course), which are strong enough for safe, non damaging front recovery?

Hmmm
looked like some big red support bars were bolted to the front and rear of the D3 chassis In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Yes, that was 10Ton through the chassis central rails, so you couldn't do that just from the recovery point..... Bodsys Brake Bible

Perhaps they are the recovery points you're looking for, might affect the off road ability a bit, the colour would suit the RP though!! DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Those are bit over the top
Well, looks like if you are careful the standard front eye is enough ...
Thought I'll ask the resident experts as I haven't got any experience yet
Thanks

The front recovery point has a 6 ton snatch rating I haven't seen such a big snatch rating since Issue 492 of Readers Wives 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
