To be honest, I am now disappointed with my powder coated wheels. I had them reconditioned exactly a year ago today - http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic5530.html

Initially I was very impressed with the job, they looked fantastic. A year and 30000 miles on, they are looking very second hand. I find the powder coat is very scratch resistant, but is extremely brittle and chips very easily. If you are not careful and just catch the wheel with the wheel brace for example, it will chip the coating.

The chips then spread at the slightest provocation, and then corrosion makes it worse. The rear wheels have suffered particularly badly, with 100's of stone chips.

Maybe I got a bad job, but they sure need doing again. So much so that I just bought a complete set of brand new FFRR 19" wheels and tyres. Once the Synchrones finally wear out they will be fitted.
