Re Lanoguard - It's really easy to apply, and as it's a bit more fluid than others it's a bit easier to get into nooks and crannies. As it's easy to apply tend to do a steam clean and reapply twice a year, before first gritters go out and after the last. Comes with a tub of grease for problem/very vulnerable areas. Time will tell I suppose!

oil filter was wrong inside bore dimensions. opie oils sent me mahle dx776d. usually have bosch p 1755. had to remove some of the inner material for it to fit.

I’d noticed the door didn’t seem to close fully flush and sometimes needed a harder slam than seemed reasonable. When it refused to catch at all last night I took a closer look and found the three securing screws were missing. I borrowed one each from the rear doors to hold it in place temporarily and it seems to be working.
