Disappointed
A Plan couldn't get anywhere near even Land Rover insurance this time for the MY15 D4 we've just purchased.
Comparison sites were showing 10-15 reasonable quotes, A Plan couldn't get us one MY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

I used them last year - not the cheapest but certainly not the most expensive but will of course shop around at renewal. Always believed in being loyal and staying with the same insurer but over the years, Any isurer I've used has pulled the same stunt, cheap at first then prices start escalating so nowadays I always shop around.

I did try and Hayley searched various options.
Unfortunately unless I was willing to spend thousands then the only quote she could get required a tracker to be fitted which doesn't work for me in the timescales.
I've ended up going with LR insurance who guarantee LR parts are used and the car can be repaired by LR dealers and have decent off road coverMY15 DIY Black Pack (Better than factory and half the price!)

just done mine with landrover today £456.17...that's a d4 63 plate gs me 67 never had a claim...12000 miles per year......and importantly off road cover

I think that's your London postcode kicking in with the 'theft problem' that JLR is experiencing ..... I've started to notice climbing renewals especially on the RRS forum with numerous complaints recently... I think underwriters have started noticing their books being squeezed...

As being discussed the insurance market is hardening, meaning rates will stay static or rise, insurance premium Tax has increased in November which also adds to the cost of every-bodies insurance.
A-Plan specialists have bespoke rates for forum members and ( some would say more importantly ) with the correct cover.
Each persons risk and history are different, as advised before we cannot promise to be the cheapest for everyone, however, we will always endeavour to give advise on cover and you should always receive excellent service.

I have my house insured with A plan and they have been ok lot of mucking about in first place but they did sort everything out. Tried both my car and my wife's car and they were not competitive at all both in price excess or cover. I will try them again next year and will look at the house renewal next month but as always best to shop around and see what us available from whoever and decide which best suits you.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange
