E light on dash!!

E light on dash!!

Hi All
Your help would be much appreciated.
My disco 3 2.7 2007 has developed an E fault light on the dash
I’ve had it checked out and I am told it’s the gearbox module and a new gearbox!!!
I can not start the car but can over ride it with a wire from the start fuse to the battery!
Just a question to ask if it could be something else or anything I can do to reset it??

Get someone with a good code reader to read the codes as issue could be anywhere, when i've had trans issues its only ever shown F in the cluster never an E.

Hi thanks for that. Already have and he says it’s the gearbox module not responding!! I am told it’s a new gearbox as module is inside it and can’t be replaced

It certainly can be replaced and you can even fit a used mechatronic/valve body if its coded to the vehicle.
