LRE North York Coniston Hall Now at Broughton Hall
Hi,
has anyone been to Coniston Hall recently for the LRE
and if so what did you think to the venue
We have a voucher to book a half day and trying to decide which direction to head, I have been to Rockingham a few years back and had a good day out then, so wondering about taking the tintent Skipton way and trying the North Yorkshire venue

I did it a couple of years ago and enjoyed it but it's the only one I have done. It's nothing too dramatic though

I've been told that LRE are leaving Conison Hall. I don't know where they're going but apparently Conison Hall are keeping the off-road course for their own use.MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added
MY2019 D5 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - sold to a dealer for a crazy price! - So good I bought another!
MY2012 D4 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - retired to a new home

stayed there several time and done the LRE ...thought it was a bit tame compared to Solihull,,and for some reason they wouldn't let us do some of the more serious bits...

I went a couple of years ago and thought it was brilliant although it was all new to me and may be easily impressed

It's a good location but the play area is a bit more tame than others.
Still enjoyed it though and made a weekend of it with other activities.

thanks for the comments
might hang on to it for a while, it is valid for 12 months and see what happens at the Coniston site or if our travels takes us in a different direction and use it as part of a long weekend or something Transit! 2019

resurrecting an old thread as we went to the new site at
Broughton Hall Estate just outside Skipton yesterday enjoyed the day, although did not know you don't go out on the road now its all off road based
The fog did clear for a few hours 13:00-15:00 so the views were very good
used a RRS and they do manage to find an amazing amount of grip on wet/slightly muddy rocks even if it did take 3 attempts to get up the rock steps (instructor only section )
followed a Discovery sport cocking its n/s/r wheel high in the air as it did a sharp right downhill
If you have never been on a side slope its fun here as its along the side of the wading pool so depending who wants worrying the most passenger or driver, although in our case we were asked to "maybe come down a bit now then"
They do seem to be making the most of the site with more routes planned for the future.
Must have a bit of EP90 in our veins though as sure we spent as much time looking at the series motor in side, Lucas wiper turn by hand, galvanised cappings, heater, and much more as we did the new stuff outside
would recommend the venue had a bit of everything Transit! 2019

The 4x4 entrance isn't too bad, I was hoping for more.
Yes there is a deep water section now, we did it after heavy rainfall and had to skip a section of the deep water as it was too deep.
