IPad woes on log in

This is driving me nuts. When I log in on my iPad I have enter user name and password every time on the iPad. Never happens on main computer. Even ticking remember me box makes no difference.
Anyone know why this is or what settings I should change? Also, if I go to the new posts it will only show posts from when I log in.

Have you got names and passwords switched on(green) in Safari?
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

M3DPO - yes names and passwords on green
Martin - Safari is not in privacy mode.
IPad is just about to be kicked out the window as I logged out of Safari and back in again and exactly same thing happened. Have to input user name and password and can only see posts from mine forwards. Very frustrating.
Thanks for replies though.

Progress of sorts. I can now go to the home page without having to log in BUT if Intry to go to New Posts I get the page but no new posts. This never happened a while back and has only occurred since I upgraded to latest OS software.

Hope that's it

Which operating system are you on? I found ios8.0 and 8.1 a bit flaky with Safari but I am now on the latest which is 8.3 and that seems ok.

MGCarr I am on the latest OS for iPad 8.3. I also noticed that the book marks swapped from right hand side to left in Safari when I upgraded and I can't change back to right side. If I do a Google search and start typing the search box closes and opens up again further up the page but with only your first letter of search and I have to tap just behind this letter to carry on typing. That's another pain but maybe a different thread. Surely others on the forum have noticed similar?

Interestingly, even when I am in my own thread and tap on New Posts I can only see my own post plus those posted after. If that makes sense........

maybe try a hard reset

top button and screen button together for about 10 seconds

most of my apple glitches are sorted by either an on/off or hard reset

very annoying but worth a try, especially if it was working fine earlier rather than changing settings for the sake of it

Leesbay, just did a hard reset, should have thought of that, and apparently don't have to keep logging in at each visit which is good. Try to go to New Posts but as it's just after midnight perhaps there are not any as I don't see them.

tbh my ipad does the same sometime, ie shows no posts and makes me sign in for no reason to different sites that have normally saved log in info

if I click between my posts and new posts and vice versa too quickly it wont display any posts until I wait 5 seconds
maybe a common glitch rather than just your ipad?

Yes, could be right. I will put it down to a glitch that may rectify itself in time although I still blame the latest update to 8.3 as being responsible for some odd happenings Laughing
