TPMS question.
Hi all,
I've noticed quite a few times of late when checking tyre pressures on the display all values are showing 0 as below -
Is this normal?
About three months ago I had a chrismas light dash (good going on a vehicle 4 months old) as below
I took it to the dalers shortly afterwards and they said they updated some software which is to stop the Xmas light dash if one sensor briefly fails. Seems to me all 4 of mine have failed and the software update is to hide that??
Does anyone else's show 0 as a value all the time (engine not running)

I would say you definitely have a fault, mine shows the correct pressures

I have a 2016 MY Discovery 4 and my pressures show 0 as well. No faults are showing for the TPMS system. Wondered if you had found out the reason for yours showing 0?

They set it to heavy load and since then no issues.
I carry about 500kgs of tools around all day every day but I did t change the setting myself as I couldn't imagine that causing a 0 reading?!26 and on the 4th LR..

Mine sometimes shows zero from cold, but after starting the engine and driving a couple of hundred yards, it'll then show the pressures as normal. I'm guessing that the sensors may well go to sleep when stationary, possibly overnight, and then start to to read and transmit once the wheels are turning.

Thread resurrection....I don't get that screen on mine (2014) - it is not available in the menu. Is it only on the later models or can it be enabled with IID? Had a look in the CCF settings on mine and my option 1 is undefined and option 2 is fitted.
There are a load of options under 1 will any of them give me what I seek? None of them are intuitive as to what they actually do ;(
The car does flash up with "light load settings" or something like that when I start it and does have metal valves (so has the sensors).
Thanks

You can only access the Service menu in the centre screen when the engine's off - press start/stop without your foot on the brake pedal?

Yes, engine off ignition on. Get oil and VIN but nothing else.

Here's a video to show how to get to the screen that I did for somebody, as far as I remember there was two different systems, one that only gave a warning of a low tyre pressure and they then updated it to the one where you could monitor individual pressures. If you have the basic one you wont be able to enable the other system with an IID tool unfortunately.

Yep, I only have oil and VIN there. When did they add the individual pressures do you know? Mine is an XXV so like an HSE Lux so I am guessing it was from maybe 2015> else I would have it.
If there's a way would be nice but I'd rather not go through the 30 odd options in the IID if I can help it - especially if it has the wrong sensors.
Interestingly the last MOT before I bought it, it failed on a TPMS error (assume on the dash) and it was fixed and passed 0 miles later so I wonder if it just got disabled on the ramps as it were...

I'm not sure when they changed but I know my MY2014 HSE & 2016 Landmark both had the one where you can check individual pressures.Cheers Ian

Different systems between >2014.5 and 2014.5 to 2016. Changing the settings in CCF won’t give you the extra readings you want. I think you would need a 2014 to 16 BCM and clocks which in turn means you may need a new KVM and ECU.012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)
