We have been on the adoption mill for a while now and late last week we received the news that we have been allocated a beautiful baby girl in China. She is 10 months old and we hope to travel at the end of August (it depends upon when China gives the travel approval).
It's a dream come true for us and we haven't quite come down yet.
Have a nice day!

I have number three on the way at the moment, but we had a year of trouble last year with three failures.
We did explore this route, but there were many obstacles in the way.
Good luck

Lucky man Jamo. I know it is a long haul to adopt so well done for hanging in there. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Congrats Jamo
Our little guy is 11months old - gotta say its the best thing I've ever done - both my wife and I have no idea what we did with ourselves before he arrived.
And he loves sitting in the Disco looking out the window at the world

We sat in the local adoption pool (WA) for almost three years. Then they (WA Govt) changed the law here that allowed us to also apply to one country (before you could only apply to one place). We checked out all the programmes and selected China for various reasons including likelihood of success, legitimacy of the programme and the fact that we know and are friends with several Chinese families. The latter was an important point given the need to maintain cultural links.
Thanks everyone for the nice words!! Have a nice day!
