I'm back.................again
After 4 months with the Discovery sport, it's going in favour of a Discovery SE. The DS isn't a bad car and it's really nice to drive but it's no Discovery.
It got £37k for the DS, mats, mud flaps and plate transfer for gratis. I've also went with the 5 years servicing for £699. It's £3 more a month but £3 well spent.
It's a basic spec but has everything I need
SE
Loire Blue
Privacy glass
Service pack
Should take delivery in October
Looking forward to it.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

interesting to read your post, I tracked the DS for 18 months in the media, went to a launch evening in Leeds and was really enthusiastic about it all. BUT when you look at the cold hard facts the D4 is a much more capable vehicle. We tow 1700 kg of caravan and that was a big factor for us.Don't worry about the SE spec, its all you will ever need in a car, the interior is well finished and a really nice place to be. My old D3 5 seat was a solid motor but this moves up to another level. You will not be disappointed. We had a minor glitch with an oil leak on turbo pipe but now sorted and I just love this piece of kit. Iconic style, nothing comes close for the money BMW, Audi drivers set of posers!!!I'm not arguing, I'm simply explaining why I'm right!

Cheers guys
I'm quite content with the spec, not too flash for putting the dogs in, it's just raw Land Rover.
I know it's the right car for me because I'm like a child waiting on Santa Claus, I didn't feel like that with the DS.
Just need to get that all important sticker bought 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

You will enjoy getting back to a car with a better ride. We test drove the DS for my wife and felt the ride gave a lot of feedback which was to be expected with the absence of air suspension and (in the UK) the lack of adaptive dampers.
Also I know that it is a small thing but we wanted a sunroof and the DS does not offer that. The big glass roof is nice but it does not open.2014MY Discovery
