How long do you have before you need cover?
It's usually best to go quiet for a week or two (if possible) and they WILL be in touch, bettering their own offer
Expect them to throw in two cover upgrades, like Audio or Emissions Cover.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4

2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄

Mid september the Land Rover warranty expires (what bloody use it has been!). I'd like to start sooner to cover wear and tear as soon as possible.

As long as there is no gap then it should include wear and tear (make sure that this is in writing though, my first WD policy was sold to me on that basis and then the declined the one and only claim on the grounds that it was wear and tear! I had a fight with them that lasted around 3 weeks).
Personally, I'd leave it to around late August and they will be in touch again with a better offer soon enough....2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Haggle in no betterment (a must have) 13 for 12 months, airbags and emissions and ask for your club discount. And a reduction in the price!! More you get now, the more you have in the future.

Check what it covers, I paid £1300 for 3 year cover, but it didn't cover air suspension, electronic hand break or door latch!

Thanks. Main reason I'm asking is I've read on here of people getting luxury care for less money. I.e. £670

That depends on the cover level.

What is the difference between extracare and luxury? I cant see any obvious difference, my car does not qualify for luxury care due to age but if someone can get luxury care for less money than me I'd like to know the difference.

That'll be me then, and Euan was down at £650. Probably because they are both younger cars, just coming out of new car warranty period with less miles. It did take a lot of calls, maybe 8 or 9, started coming to £730 or so quite easily then it was almost a fiver a time discount.Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Took them up on this offer today with a couple of improvements:
For a December 2009 D4 with 52000 miles on the clock.
Extracare.
12+1 months cover.
24k miles a year.
Betterment removed.
Emissions & Airbag Cover
Dealer Rates to £200+vat per hour.
For £740.00 (4x£185.00)
I'm happy with that. Its either buy the warranty or sell the car as I dont relish the thought of the repair bills on one of these cars.
