Whats this bit for?

Started poking around my new car today to wire up the road angel. Noticed the housing for the rear view mirror was different to my old MY12 so I cracked it open and found this:








looks like a camera or radar or at least the case for one. and has a sensor board behind it:




Im just curious, any info appreciated Thumbs Up

Ahha ! thanks robbie your a star, won't be tapping into any power there then!

As an aside, I was pointed to a thread where someone had tapped into a switched live in the the Humidity sensor box for a camera I may have a rummage around for it rather than run a new live up the A Pillar trim from a fuse doubler as usual then ill tap the negative on the ground nut behind the sunroof control console.
