Looking for Disco 4

Looking for a Disco 4 XS or HSE, preferably with surround camera system or at least a rear parking camera.
Leather interior.
Mileage < 60k
Service history
I don't mind the used condition, scratches, etc as long as it is reflected in the description/photo and the price.
Essentially, it will be used as a family car (3 kids)

Preferably from a long standing and/or reliable forum member.
I'm based in SE London.

thanks

What do the experts think of this one?

Without rear view camera, but I thought I could get one fitted.

If thats your budget you might want to have a look at Land Rover Approved Used cars, the fact they come with a 2 year warranty and 2 year Land rover assist adds a significant amount of value and security to the sale.

As long as you are prepared to travel you could pick up quite a good deal like this [/url]

Claims it is fitted to above Hse spec, but certainly nothing on listing to support that. Seems the only extra fitted is Privacy glass and sunroof prety certain is extra on XS but standard on HSE

HSE should have rear heated seats, 4x4 info, rear park cam, park heat all as standard, might be a few more cannot think of at present. Certainly the 2 yr warranty from main dealer is a big plus factor in my mind.
D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST
D4 HSE MY12 Marmais Teal: Gone. Missed a lot!
Freelander 2 SD HSE MY11 Silver:Thankfully gone.
D4 HSE MY11 Silver: Gone missed !
Range Rover Sport MY06 HSE Buck Blue: Gone missed!
Discovery D2 TD5 Facelift MY Red Gone Missed!
Discovery D2 TD5 Cobalt Blue: Gone Missed!
Discovery D1 Auto Oxford Blue Not missed at all!
Discovery D1 Avalon Blue First LR! missed!

Now demoted to a VW

I'm not sure if its been listed on this site before but if you do need to view the spec of any prospective car use this website:

http://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Land%20Rover

you will need the VIN of the vehicle you are looking at however it can be found by following these steps:

goto: http://www.247spares.co.uk
enter the registartion number of the car you are looking at
right click the pop up window with car details
click "view page source"
press ctrl+F and type VIN
press enter 3 times and it'll show your VIN within the source code of the page

newer but more expensive

my wife pointed out to me that it might be worthwhile to invest a bit more (£40k using financing) in a newer car as if we keep it for at least 5 years, the future value will come down to the same if we keep it long enough.

does she a point and should I pay more for newer and less mileage instead and thus get a better model?

all of a sudden, should I be looking at the facelifted Disco4 HSE instead?

it all depends how much you have to spend. One thing I would say about Land Rover finance is there are much cheaper alternatives out there.

When I was looking not only would LRFS not finance vehicles over 4 years old or 60,000 miles but they also were charging somewhere in the region of 11% APR, I managed to get mine financed at 7.9% APR through Alphera with the dealer. While that doesnt seem that much, 3% APR over 5 years, on a 40k car will make a significant price increase
