Just spent the weekend with the SCV6. Very impressive. More RR than LR. It's at its best when driven with a light throttle - very smooth progress, great engine sound. Mr. Green

No viscous fan roar on first start / pull away with this engine. Sad

No viscous fan roar = knackered viscous fan. Whistle Whistle

Well was for me. Nothing money didn't fix, luckily not my money. Mr. Green

Not easy to put diesel into a petrol car. You'd lose patience, having to dribble it into the small aperture. Wink

This is it:

You may have a point. Nothing a suitably crushed & shaped Celtia can can't fix though. Whistle

PS: Very nice, very nice indeed. Well jell. Thumbs Up

If you look carefully you will see the cheeky grin of a sump protection plate at the front. Not that this car is going off road. It's just so that I can attach a tow rope easily when we go to the mountains. You never know when a chap like Al might need help. Whistle

No winch ... yet. Waiting to see the new Disco or the new Deafener before thinking about a fully kitted toy.

Based on the number of times I used the D3 winch for true recovery (errr ... once), Bobbycrispbox owes me several hundred quid in recovery fees. That's allowing for a discount for the added aluminium value of the D3 when we recycle it, due to undiscovered beer cans in the chassis / intercooler / air intake / all other voids.

Funny that. I decided this weekend I'm definitely de-wenching the Bali Beastie because in 6 years it's only been used 2 or 3 times in earnest. So costing me more in fuel than it's probably worth in scrap value - not that it'll be scrapped Twisted Evil

Note to vulchers, don't get too excited it'll be sometime before I get around to doing the deed.
