Just need to get her down to Southampton, onto a boat, and 8000 miles across the North and South Atlantics, then I'll finally get to play with her!

Wow, the Falklands!

The "X" area identifier doesn't appear on the DVLA website. Is it specifically for the Falklands?

Update: I've answered my own question - it's "personal export".

Are we taking bets on how long before something falls off, I personally wouldn't take a Disco down the Falklands.

V8 Brakes
EGRs blanked
Running boards
3 flash indicators and clock on dash
Blingy grille...

Crikey, somebody didn't fare too well! Hoping that I'll be luckier, but the Freelander and the Defner haven't fallen to bits, yet... Shocked

Plenty of D3s and a handful of D4s cutting about down here, although I don't think some of them get too far away from the Tarmac in Stanley that regularly.

Blimey, things have moved on, last time I was down the Falklands, admittedly way back in 1982, the only transportation was via a Sea King Helicopter.

I think we're paying somewhere in the region of about 40-50p per litre at the moment...

There are even a few patches of Tarmac on the Stanley to MPA road now, although probably no more than a couple of miles if you joined them all together.

No VAT or sales tax in the Falklands; makes running a D4 quite a nice proposition...
