Sounds from the latest reports that the strain is directly linked to innoculation development at the Pirbright Lab...so sabotage ???....or sloppy biosecurity????...one or t'other methinks 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
Reports started to hit our media yesterday of this. No , & movements throughout England. Must be hard for the farmers running around trying to keep their animals still.
In all seriousness though, I hope the problem is eliminated soon.
My parents were holidaying in the UK when the 2001 outbreak occurred. I remember them being dosed & drenched upon arrival back in Australia.Did you think I would leave you crying,

Just for once I'm going to say balls to keeping the green lanes open and to doing everything possible to limit this outbreak. There's more at stake than out leisure time folks; a lot of my friends are going to be deep, deep, deep in the crap if this goes off like last time. One was due to take delivery of a herd of pedigree herefords this weekend after forking out ££££s and is now unable to move his rams to tup, totally screwing his January lambing. Fingers crossed it will be sorted and he can double up for the Feb lambing, in which case I will cancel the family ski holiday to help him, cos he's going to need every pair of hands he can get, the poor sod.
C'mon folks, every farmer I know, without exception, enjoys playing with his 4x4. Let's get behind them and please, please, please respect any lane closures. IF the government subsequently try to take us roughly from behind we can then count on those same farmers and the countryside alliance for some support. If you haven't joined the alliance and you enjoy offroad driving, you may want to consider it
I may be in Ireland but I have to say that NoDo$h is right I hate farmers for there whining but when it comes to F&M it's no joke They don't just lose some livestock they lose a more, My hart goes out to them as it's there life and there way of life thats at stack
Hope to see lots of thes running about in the next few weeks
I to agree with NoDo$h it ant no laughing mater i also so all the devastation it caused last time up here in Lancashire would not want to see it again.Home of RLD Hidden winch mounts Spare wheel Locks Trailer Body Fabrication ray@rld-tech.co.uk D3/4 sump plates MY 14 sump plates and the Discovery Sport wheel protectors Discovery 5 wheel locks

I've just got back from a mega green lane expedition to this
I had not heard about it until I just logged on. I encountered no pressure to get off the lanes in the Lakes yesterday or today. The farmers we met were all happy with our prescence and did not mention it which suprises me. Even the ramblers we encountered were probably not aware, cos' they would have mentioned it for sure.
If it does kick off, then the countryside must be shut down quickly. I agree with all thats said.
