He must have been distracted by something major......
I've heard DG is like the Stig
...........Some say that he can transmit his thoughts to his keyboard and reply to posts before they are made.
All we know, is that he is called DG The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Just contacted my insurance company (the aa) for info and said
Im covered to drive on green lanes as long as Im travelling
to or from an event and not actually taking part in an event.
I would not be covered for taking part in events like at Rockingham
a few weeks ago (good job I didnt wreck it then!) said it comes under
sport trials and racing which is excluded!
Now Im not sure if Im covered on green lanes driving in convoy, as surely
that would then be classed as an event???
Anybody insured that know they would be covered for events like Rockingham

It's definition of 'event' thats causing some debate on the site . Public liability at Rockingham was covered by Protrax as the event organisers but that would not necessarily cover vehicle damage. If you have 'true' off-road cover with the likes of LRI or possibly NFU then you would be covered providing it did not involve any form of competition such as racing, time trials, hill climbs etc.
I had a prang off-road at what could be deemed an 'event' ..but they (LRI) paid out no questions asked 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
