No fuel warning message
Hi , i dont get a low fuel waning light or message ,
i do obviously have the fuel gauge and count down remaining miles but thought it would alert in some way when the range gets low ,
is this normal or does it need turning on in a stettings somewhere ,
Thanks in advance Current D4 with B4 face lift conversion

You should get a low fuel warning light

Not sure whether I imagined this or not but I think the only time when I had the light come on the sat nav offered to direct me to the nearest petrol station Cheers Ian

Istr it will warn you when you have less than 45miles range. Get down to 10 and see if it warns you.
Wasn't there an issue with the wrong size tank being fitted, giving fuel levels?Bodsys Brake Bible
It should also show you a low level fuel warning on the touch screen as well being a D4, my D4 screen fitted in my D3 does if I take mine down to anything less than 30 miles ish.

I had ran for about 20-25 miles with "0" miles remaining .....
The expected gas station at the highway was closed that night...
No problem at all, but I was very scared of be left stranded on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere.
Never again!

My low fuel warning message only appears around 20ish miles to empty, but I reckon there is at least an additional 50 miles on top of that.
The dealer has done a software update and I was due to take it in for them to remove the tank, but the general consensus on here was not a bother so I haven't.Andy

I've had all sorts of problems like this.
- Warning light doesn't show (sometimes)
- Sometimes suddenly goes from ~40 miles fuel left to zero (after being parked on the drive overnight)
Basically once it gets down to the low fuel zone I can't rely on it. I've had it back in to the dealer (actually TVLR) who replaced the sender unit. No difference. At the end of the day it's not major,, so I'm waiting till the next service to get them to look at it again.
