The 90 belong to the REME boys from the Crab and Sprocket. Don't know what engine they had but it went well.

Had a customers car in with Restricted Performance, and a DPF Pressure Differential fault

Took it out on the road, and attempted a Regen, to clear it all out. Failed a few times, so turned round to head home. On the way back, it lost all power, and cut out. Would restart every time, and run for 3-4 seconds, and cut out, making some horrible noises Shocked

Released the clamp for the DPF to see if the engine would run with the exhaust disconnected, of which it did just fine

So, DPF was removed and checked...
IT should look like this:

In actual fact, it looked like this:

Found a faulty MAF sensor, hence why it was not regenerating and burning the carp out.

Priced up a new DPF. Knew it wouldnt be cheap but I wasn't quite prepared for the £2,100 retail price Shocked
So, good 2 hours were spent washing it out with a pressure washer, and had it mostly clean. Car now starts and runs, and a new MAF on order to allow it to regenerate on its own

Hi Disco Mikey,

I have exactly the same problem but a bit more dramatic, it blew the air box off the front of the inlet manifold, the DPF is completely blocked but will run if you disconnect the DPF. I'm in the process of either replacing the DPF or if I can unblock it, clean it out.

Can i ask please, how did you trigger a DPF regen ?

Best regards

Simon.

You can trigger one using the GAP IID tool.

This is also a good read: https://www.jaguarforum.com/attachments/di...pdf.28673/

strange thing was, the car never complained about the DPF being nearly full or full, but with the pressure hoses disconnected my cheap VeePEAK scanner shows an issue with the DPF pressures so the sensor must be working, just no warning on the dash.
