Looking in my crystal ball - top posts for 2017

After reading this...

http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars...ed-testing

I thought I'd predict my top forum threads for the new D5 in 2017... Shocked

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOPIC : Help, cant get into my D5
Poster : stuckInWaitrose
Body :
need help - posting from my iphone - just used the fab new remote drive system and those LR chaps have done a fine job of helping me park in a very tight spot in waitrose carpark that is full of idiots in X5s.

Just got back to the D5 and my heart sunk when I realised that I don't know how to use the system in reverse and the user guide's stuck in the glove box. However, there's no way I can get back into my car as there's no room to open the Censored doors. Can anyone tell me how to operate this damn thing to get OUT of the tight spot?

Help, before my warm bread gets cold !

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOPIC : D5's auto-terrain response keeps switching to Mud'n'ruts
Poster : d5Daze
Body :
Hi all, given the harsh winter by local roads are littered with small potholes. So much so that the D5 keeps automatically switching to mud'n'ruts and raising the suspension. I'm at my wits end, can I permanently disable this feature without a sodding great orange light on my dash Evil or Very Mad ?

btw. my d4 never did this - really not sure if i should have "up"graded after all (& don't get me started on the lack of cup holders)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOPIC : Laser projector retrofit on a D3 - my howto guide
Poster : UpWithTheJoneses
Body :
After seen so many "can I upgrade" posts, I thought I'd have a crack at retrofitting the d5's laser guidance system to my trusty D3 and post my results. I got a stonking deal for a retrofit system off the bay (only £5000) and I'm happy to say that i've now got my laser guidance working in my D3 after only 4 months of scrambling around and breaking stuff.

Hah, no need to buy a fancy-pants D5 after all. Thumbs Up

A word of caution - unlike me, please get the system properly aligned otherwise you'll end up blinding the neighbour's cat Whistle Full write-up below....

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TOPIC : Transparent' bonnet - image quality image in MY18 (Sticky- all posts here please)
Poster : totallyFedUp
Body :
Is it me or is the image quality of the MY18 transparent bonnet not just up to the same quality of the MY17 ? I feel totally cheated by LR who just called me to say that there's no issue with my car despite having it for a whole week and doing nothing?

After driving the MY17 demo car, when getting back into my shiney new MY18 I could clearly see the detail that is missing. For example, I just drove over a crisp packet and, Censored me, I could not even read if it was "ready salted" or "cheese and onion".... Does anyone have the CEOs personal twitter ?

Nailed it Bow down
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

In 2017 won't we be asking she's the real D5 arriving as the one that we're talking about is just a ruse to keep us entertained through the rest of 2015 & 2016?? Whistle Whistle

And not even 1 post for "help ..... there's smoke coming from my front wheel arch!"
But suppose that's a bit 'old hat' now after the D3 & D4.
