It's seems that they were trying to pacify you without knowledge of car stock ...which I agree is a dangerous game. There is a difference on what LRA can provide you under their contract via a 3rd party and what the dealer can provide from their own stock as goodwill. Sounds like a balls up between them all 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

While it is nice to have the back up of replacement car, and indeed promised by Landrover, is it really a realistic expectation that a like for like vehicle is supplied, especially on short notice.
Sure things seem to of been a little over complicated here, but many other posts before with the expectation of like for like at a drop of a hat.
Over the years on the odd occasion I have used LRA etc, they have always tried first to supply a like for like car, trouble is supply has sometimes been a problem.
Yes Landrovers are expensive to buy and being a premium branded marketed, an expectation of something a little better luxurious etc is to be expected. I think they meet that, how many people have tried to find a slightly cheaper more economical alternative and succeeded
Many of the also-rans are now in the 30 -40 k new price region, some even 40k plus so prices have crept up from the competition which also offers a huge difference in warranty length and cover, but not quiet the level of refinement Landrover now supply.
I think the difference in expectations is probably driven by use, a D4 with its vast capabilities is used a lot for business, so the impact is more to the individual, where as car manufactures warranty is more geared to the private individual.
Should a vehicle used for commercial purposes have the same level of cover as private users
Though some yrs ago, running a transport company it was always down to me to supply the vehicle replacement, if off road.
Perhaps as minor fault it would with hindsight of been better to of only booked it in when a suitable replacement was a available D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

When mine went into the dealers I was told that they don't supply courtesy cars with tow bars (I too tow for my business) and was given a manual FL2.. I think you've done quite well if I'm honest.
