Don't drive trough any moderately deep snow drifts i.e. deeper than 6 inches in case it knocks your front towing eye cover off

Has anybody tried 'self amalgamating' tape or some such that I've read about but have no experience of.... think it has been mentioned somewhere else on this forum....
Just seems crazy on an alleged 'premium' car which cost nearly 60K new it needs plastic bits to be pushed back into their slots ... only for them to prize themselves loose 5 minutes later!! Its doing my head in!! 2016MY Discovery HSE - Black
