My guess is that 255/55x19 would be ok, but I'm looking to maybe get something a bit bigger like 255/65 but I'm concerned will it rub?
Let me try to rephrase my question:
What is the biggest AT tire I can fit on those rims?
Oh, and thanks for the reply al!

Just had 4 265/50/112V Radar Renegade A/T 5 fitted, took a gamble as got them for a reasonable price. Can't feel any issues on full lock. Light hum at 40mph balanced well, look great, overall pretty happy so far.
Can report on anything off road as yet...

Absolutely fine, again from very dim & distant memory.
And deffo not from a D4, unless itโs a 2.7. D4 would be 19โ & up.

These were Original fit on 07 D3 SE, obviously with 255/60 as standard.
Interesting fun fact, this style also just about clear the calipers on 3.0 D4's ... with zero clearance. (didn't try with spacers)Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

Hi all, first post from me having being pointed here by an existing member ...
I've put some 18" BMW 162 alloys on my D3 with some 275 65s, after seeing a pic of them on the truck he asked if these were sufficiently rated.
It's not something I even thought about as I'm not massively clued up on stuff like this - and apparently not that bright - so I wondered if anyone had any experience, advice or knowledge they could pass on.
I think they look really good but I'd sooner not have any issues.
Thanks in advance

I very much doubt wheels for a 1 series would be anywhere near rated enough for a D3. The way to be sure is take one off and look at the rating stamp inside the wheel.
