Is it me or are the seats in LR4 very hard. I say this because I have owned in the past several Volvo XC90s all of which have seats that are a joy to be in for long journeys, but the converse can be said about BMWs' which quite frankly could be swapped out for wooden benches and you wouldn't notice the difference...
The driver's seat which gets the most use is beginning to soften after 25k miles, but the rear seats are definitely in the "numb bum" bracket for anything over a two hour journey - and I hear about it each time my teenagers are in the back...
So, has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution?

Front seats in my HSE are very comfortable, almost as comfortable as the front seats in various large Volvo estates I've had in the past.
I wouldn't want to sit in the rear seats for very long though - perhaps you need a FFRR ? MY12 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand

I think I'll take the moaning from the teenagers.... although I wonder if you can fit the back row of the range rover seats into the Discovery??

XS seats are crap and bench-like compared to the HSE seats, which are blissfully different.
Pet hobby horse of mine, but for what the car costs, it seems absurd that they can't put decent seats in the XS/SE. Granted the HSE's are electric, but those seats without the bells and whistles would make a colossal difference. PAGODA

Can't help with HSE seats for comparison but coming from a FFRR, the seats in my 63 commercial are nowhere near as good as the 07 Vogue seats were. I guess the commercial with "luxury" spec has got the base leather seats then?
