OK i think the boys on the Russian forum have got it sussed.
Basically there is a drilled hole on the crank which is not threaded, count 3 threaded holes (for flywheel bolts) clockwise from this hole and the reluctor ring is placed with the oval hole dead centre to the third threaded hole - see the picture in the first post that shows where mine is currently installed.
Before i take it apart, i will mark out on plastic and drill holes where my current disc is and use this as a template for fixing the new reluctor ring.
Any comments welcome if i an wrong in my thinking.

Yes Brightyuk thats the special tool.
Just need to fashion something that will install the reluctor square and to the correct depth.

As a secondary check i may get crank to TDC for No.1 piston, put stringline across the crankcase to line up with the oval hole, and put 2 centre punch marks on crankcase so when new reluctor is installed i can put string across to check correct alignment.
I know , i know all theory and pie in the sky...............................but £200+ for using a tool on one occasion????

I got mine from citreon. Part number is 011920 about £25.00

Sorry I didn't actually fit the ring in the end. Now in the box of spares. I did buy the special tool incase I needed it.Vehicles

I don't mind selling you the ring. But I would like to get what I paid for it, +postage maybe cheaper if you ordered one from Citreon.mibe came in a few days.

To answer your question I do t know. According to defectors post above he made his own. But if it were me I wouldn't fit without the tool. Just an idea see if your local dealer would loan it too you. If you were closer you could have borrowed it.Vehicles
