Currently with the RAC via NFU. TBH, I don't really look for much; I just need something that will get me and the car to where I want it (home, or garage if necessary), and that will also take the car from home to a garage if the need arises. I try to consider having an outright breakdown as a sort of "last resort" - the cover is only there "just in case" - so timescales aren't that important to me so long as it's reasonable. I took out cover with Autoaid when I bought my D3, it broke down within a week, Autoaid use local recovery companies and even though they advertise roadside assistance, it is hit and miss whether you will get any, we didn't, they recovered the car back to their depot, gave us a really old Peugeot 207 to drive home in (180 miles), and took over week to return the car.
Autoaid apologised, and said the firm would be put on a watch list, but I am now looking at the AA or Green Flag.

i have been with the AA and recently with RAC and can say both are just about the same on service as it can be a hit and miss who you get and what you requested. Next month I am going to give Green Flag a chance as parents use them and never had issues and a fair bit cheaper than the other two. RAC just recently sent me the renewal and it has fairly jumped up on price compared to what they quote online for family any vehicle and have also called them to negotiate but found they were wanting to sell me other products.D3 TDV6 S MY2005
