Tow bar storage fixing bolts - what size???
Can any one please confirm the size & type of the two bolts which fix the tow bar storage into the left hand storage area? i.e. M6x30 button head.

I am fairly certain they are M6, no idea of length or head type though.

Part number shown on the catalogue is BTR2710, which is M10x1.5 Torx head.
From pics online it looks like 30 or 35mm long from under the head.

Martin thanks for the part number, 10mm dia would fit with the size of the holes in the bracket & the tell tale marks would suggest a head size to scale. Will see if I can get a couple of suitable bolts this week so I can fit the tow bar storage at the weekend - assume they are mushroom / button head?D4 - Stornoway Grey

If you Google the part number you will see pictures of it - it's a pan head but I'm sure a button head alternative would be fine 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

I fitted one recently. The bolts are self tapping, there is no thread in the inserts in the boot floor. I dont think a standard M10 will do it, unless you use a M10 Tap, to form the thread first.Richard
