That's it, it's a keeper!
After a few very good months I've been able to clear the last 30 months of the LR Finance PCP
Rather than wait until September 2018 (and continue to pay interest on the option to purchase, at 7.9%), I've been able to arrange for the funds to buy it from LR Finance now and blow the GMV. And the excess mileage charges. And the dilapidation charges! And I can now modify it, without having to keep the people at LRF happy
So, that's it. All being well, it should be with me for its working life 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄
2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!

Good Job RM I got the same planned for our latest D4 LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Thanks Mr H!
These schemes are pretty flexible and I was happy enough to take LR's £3,000 contribution to the PCP in the first place! 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Congratulations, that's a very nice position to be in.
I live in hope of doing the same in about 20 years! Andy

Im thinking of doing the same to the one I'm acquiring. Hoping it will be a keeper to be honest.

Thanks for the +ve replies folks!
Having read a few posts from people who've only recently got their cars and are already planning their next move, it's also good to hear from others who've had their cars a fair few years or, like me, are planning to 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

My new one will make it a whole lot easier to keep, lower car tax and five years serving for £700. So whereas I needed to find £1k for tax and service at the end of last pcp on top of balloon payment, I will still have two years of cheap motoring left with just cheap tax to pay.Joined the BMWX5 45e group
