Another happy customer. Postman hadn't cleared the end of the road and car was in bits.
Ambient temperature too warm to test heat function but remote when activated operates the ventilation function (can hear the blowers start).
I had already enabled the settings with IID Tool that was delivered yesterday.
Thanks for sending parts so quickly.
Thanks to the authors of the various posts I read on here for the install tips

Can just add that I am also a happy customer. Parts arrived quickly (thanks Bodsy) and I finally plucked up the courage to start taking the car apart the other week. Failed miserably to locate the plug for the remote (thought I had found it wrapped in foam behind the driver side trim panel only to find it was the wrong plug!) After much searching I found it behind the jack and so realised I didn't really need to take the trim off.. Also had 3 attempts at pairing the remote as you have to get the timing of putting the FBH fuse back in pretty accurate. Maybe it was me! Anyway, all installed and working and cannot wait to try it this winter.Discovery 4 Landmark ‘16

Auto High Beam report
Well as we know comes up in menu, but is not working at present.
2 things I have noticed if you try to select DRIVE ON RIGHT it will not engage, and no green light appears on dash saying auto high beam is engaged.
I know you could select DRIVE on Right before, used it in France, so work in progress me thinks.
Found this
Quote:
In the event of a fault, the warning strategy to the driver is as follows:
Image sensor internal fault - green icon will extinguish with no additional message to driver
CJB has lost all communication with image sensor - green icon will extinguish with no additional message to driver
Image sensor blocked - green icon will extinguish with an additional "High Beam Assist Sensor Blocked" message within the message centre
System Calibration
To achieve effective operation of the high beam assist system, a calibration routine is performed on vehicle build and system tolerances are set to an accuracy of +/- 0.2 degrees.
This initial calibration is a 'one time only' procedure. Should the high beam assist components or the windshield require replacement at the dealership, an automatic calibration routine will be performed. This 'auto aim' calibration procedure is a continual process that takes place during a normal drive cycle at night and could take between 10 - 30 minutes dependant on the following driving conditions:
If sufficient road markings (lane markings) are visible to the image sensor - approximately 10 minutes
If insufficient road markings are visible, the system uses the tail lights of preceding vehicles - approximately 30 minutes.
NOTES:
noteUntil this calibration is complete the system may not react correctly during operation. This should be made clear to the customer before vehicle handover. During any calibration or rectification work the headlamps should be checked for correct alignment.
noteDue to mechanical calibration tolerance the correct mirror assembly must be used for the vehicle model types in question and it is not exchangeable with other vehicle model types.
noteAfter any rectification work and before any calibration drives, the headlamps should be checked for correct alignment.

Let me have a word with SWMBO re these. Am I reading it right that it plugs in behind the jack and all the gubbins goes in there as well? Might get you to bring a kit to Les Comes.

I have a new to me D4 2011 coming next week. I know it has a FBH and that it is just for keeping the engine warm and fuzzy, ie no remote or parking heater functions. It is a low spec vehicle (S) without the touchscreen. Can your kit be used for this car and what functions can I expect? Both timed and remote starting of the FBH? Both engine and cabin warm? Any safety functions concerning battery survival or will it just empty the battery? Sorry if these questions are answered elsewhere...
Will you send to Sweden?

for you, yes, I will send to Sweden.
It wont work if the battery is low, so protects the starting capability.
Without the screen, you will only have the remote option. It warms the water around the engine block and heater matrix, it will put the internal fans on to the windscreen when its cold and into the cabin if you use it when its warmer (above about 15degrees C)
Drop me a message and we can sort out. Bodsys Brake Bible
