Well mine had its first service last year on the service pack. It only cost me the insurance waiver for the courtesy car

Thanks for that, Dave T. Is their a guide to maintenance for the D4 over and above the service schedule? This is my first Discovery and I have no idea what to expect. I've never had to clean brakes on a car before, is there other routine care to plan for?
Cheers

its not laid down, but the pads last a long time on a D4 and I found they jammed on my last one which meant I had to replace them sooner than if they hadn't and braking was definitely affected, but not easy to tell as it had been a slow deterioration. Joined the BMWX5 45e group

On a D3 service schedule they are replaced every 3 years, they don't appear at all on this service plan.
Got my paper work through today for the service plan, I couldn't see the ADBlue top up at first. It is hidden away in the small print at the bottom.
Something else I didn't realise, is that, it is valid for 5 years or 50,000 miles, whereas the service interval is annually or 16,000 miles in which case you only get 3 services!
Whilst it is still cheap, it is certainly not as I expected, another poor show by Land Rover!Joined the BMWX5 45e group

The service plan on the DS is 2 yearly or 21,000 miles, so the £499 I paid = 2 services and all the ad blue I can consume.

I reckon based on our last Range Rover we might get 3 years out of the Adblue tank
