Took her in for a Ceramic Pro paint treatment yesterday and get her back on Thursday hopefully although the chap said she is a big vehicle so may take him slightly longer - looking forward to getting her back and looking very shiny "UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.

Well she is back from The Polishing Company with 4 coats of Ceramic Pro on the front and back and 2 on the sides - its very expensive so felt only 2 coats would be needed on the sides
Not the best day to take any pics as it was dull but at least the coating is on;

Looks great .... but what is this 'ceramic pro' - some sort of lacquer I take it ... or is it more than that? Not read about it on 'Detailing World'... (but then haven't looked on that site for a while).....maybe I'm now a bit out of date on the latest in 'Detailing"....?2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

I have taken this from the Ceramic Pro Facebook page;
"Ceramic Pro 9H permanent paint protection coating is a unique product which lasts for years without requiring any general maintenance. No additional car care products are required to maintain the finish. The multi-layerable coating is super hydrophobic, has high levels of abrasion resistance and can not easily be polished off! Environmental contaminants such as tree sap and bird lime etc do not affect it and it adds anything up to 8 microns of protective layer to the paint While the costs of the application are high compared to other products commonly offered by dealers and other companies. The packages include a full day's paint correction and prep as standard. While many products offer long warranties based on laboratory tests. Real life testing is the only way to really test products and we have now had Ceramic Pro on a vehicle which has been treated for over 3 years, covered in excess of 30,000 miles and has only had one "top up" coat to date. The car still looks as bright as the day it was treated, has picked up negligible stone chips and takes just 10 minutes to wash, hardly requiring the use of more than water and a small amount of shampoo. Minor scratches from car park incidents have simply been polished out. We firmly believe that Ceramic Pro is the best costing currently available for your car and over a five year period the cost is probably less than most enthusiastic owners would spend on car care products and hand washes !!"
I have had this on my 2 previous Audi's and can swear by it - really makes cleaning the car very easy, just a snow foam and jet was required "UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" -is how fast you hit the fence.

Ceramic Pro have applicators all over the country now and not just in the North East - the North East is where they buy the product from and get the training but they then become a franchise so maybe worth asking via email or phone "UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.

I'll have to look into this ceramic pro via Google as it might be worth doing to my landmark as we live in an area of narrow roads and wide hedges!

You would have to ask for a price I am afraid as this is my 4th vehicle to be done and by the guy that imports the coating so he offered me a special price."UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
