Tow bar electrics - double plug

I am looking to install a 13 pin and traditional connector on my 05 D3, which already had a 13 pin connector installed. That one broke due to a crappy adapter taking out some of the pins. Now I want to have the 13 pin in the right opening and a traditional one in the left opening. Is there a standard solution for this?

Having just installed the electrics on my D3 it is so simple to complete, I'd just pull it all back out and re-feed the wiring through whichever hole you require.

Might just need to get yourself a few zip ties to replace clips of you break any during removal.

Is there an obvious point to cut into the 13 pin loom or should I find some harness that plugs straight into the car?

Interesting idea.

Options

1. I guess you will have to splice the 7 pin in, and solder the wires behind the bumper on the left side.

2. just use standard components, 7 core cable & socket and run the cable inside the car and connect it up there. (left side)

3. Depending on how old/rusty/cramped the 13 pin is, just run a loop of 7 core cable to that.
That has to be the simplest if it's not too rusty.
