How to find broken aggregate / alternator
Hi folks,
some weeks ago i bought a 2009 disco commercial tdv6 with 300 tsd km running. i want to thank for your help first. verry good forum I changed my door laatches front / back. got the original Radio with aux bluetooth running. no belt beep anymore, oil changes, and seat recognition repaired etc
the last weeks i got new bad tong, tong, tong, noise wich i can not spot first.
it was the alternator. how i checked this you can see here
a pipe and a funnel. you can put it on every aggregate and hear whats going on inthere.

I use a 'listening stick' - similar arrangement but just a solid stick. I like the tube as it can bend into difficult places
Anyone know what 'aggregate' means, I assume auto text is the culprit?Stew,

You should make a few of them alternator diagnostic tools and sell them here. You'd make a fortune.
Nice car

Hi sloss,
Aggregate means all things on the aux belt. Tensioner, air comressor and servo pump....
Hi tayaste,
that would be the benefit of the year
thanks
Happy weekend
