Slots in at the bottom and pops in at the top with two retaining clips, one each side, just locate the clips and give it a slap. These clips have an habit of disappearing into oblivion when it is removed so you may need one or two clips, I only use one clip it makes access to my Iid tool easier, that's where I "hide" it.

it looks like one of the clips is broken and there is only 1 metal 'clip' - are these parts available as spares?

Yes, but will probably come in a pack, one good clip will hold without any problem.

i'll have another look tonight I have a feeling the clips may be too broken... i don't suppose there is a picture of a non-broken one around?

Have a good look in the front of the car first. Some one will be along shortly who can fix you up, they are the same clips that hold the "H" trim on the centre dash panel, if you are desperate pinch one of those, just give the bottom sides of the "H" a good tug towards the seats one side at a time and it will come off, beware you don't lose one of those Laughing

OK, so it's just the vent that has fallen off?

I'm sure Nick (TLO) can supply you with a new one if it's completely knackered. I think you'll find it's a LR028394. Thumbs Up

What's behind this cover?

Is the hole in the cover for ventilating something...what does it ventilate?

It may be a stupid question but i do like to know...
