How far is your wish-list ? |
|
Made a big dent in my wish-list (and my bank balance) by visiting RBS and had the following fitted :
Tow hitch
Front protector plate
Dual battery system with two Hella type and two Brad Harrison power points
Already have roof-rack and will try and fit seat covers over the week-end
Outstanding items include fuel tank, spare wheel carrier, two way radio, set of off-road wheels - when and where will it end ?
What have you done towards your wish-list lately ??

Waiting for my spare wheel carrier then I'm about done
List so far
Turbochip
Battery manager
Long range tank with skid plate
Front Skid plate
Roof Rack
Extra rims and off road tyres
Satnav unblocked
Towbar
Window smash and grab with matching tint for front windows
Hmmm maybe that's where my kidney went
Still considering a snorkel
Hope someone comes up with a mod for the ride height soon

Just got back from two weeks in northern Botswana, and ,in hindsight, number one on the wish-list would be the 70km/h off-road height adjustment. Will give more details in a few days when I've had time to get back into the swing of things.

DJ summed it up well
Matzker have an amazing system with an amazing price.
Lots of guys fitted rods, and this works great.
Those of us with faultmates just calibrated 50mm extra ride height into the system.
To be honest, once I fitted those Spiros shocks, I didn't have as much bounce in the car, so combined with the extra height it was awesome.
I say "was" because I don't own the D3 anymore, BUT I believe my cousin is bringing it back to me this coming week
Then the wish list starts again, watch for a separate thread. I aim for some audio improvements as requested by the teenagers, some facelift-type light and perhaps grille updates, and who knows what else
