Compressor pipe removal

Got this Censored stuck. 10mm brass and pipe are out, but not the 8mm. No amount of persuasion worked. Is there any trick?
Tried to undo the nut holding the push-fit fitting but wouldn't turn much.

Managed finally. Tapped in the brass pipe and screwed in a self tapping screw, which I've prised out. The brass pipe came out then using a flat screw driver I removed the rubber pipe.
Now dismantling again and cleaning..

I bought the 8mm collet from rimmer bros and tried to put in today. I also replaced the o ring. But the collet wouldn't go in as far as it should. Any idea?
