Squeeze in the buttons on either side and pull it off carefully. I can never remember which, but there is always one that is easiest to get at first, and then the others become easier to get at. I reach through the wheel arch for access. For that model of filter there sure is, search for fuel filter bleed

I did it without going thru the bleed screw.
put the key in position I for 5 or 6 times and the engine fired up without hesitationAchim
