Might not still be the case, worth checking. My research was a good while ago.

The APRR.fr site is easy to use and will accept UK debit cards
The biggest issue that you might face relates to inputting your UK address as the French form won't recognise the postcode.
To get around this, input your postcode elsewhere in the address fields and then in the French code, simply insert five Zeros...
Easy...
Hope this helps someone...D4 Commercial - 65 Plate, 2016MY

Another vote for APRR tags LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

I'm off to the French alps in July and having wasted lots of time at the booths, usually over the winter, I've bought the ATMB tag.
The site is in English and easy to use.
Its 1.90 euro for the months used plus about 16 euro for postage and the activation fee.
no deposit for the tag
Put 00000 for the French post code and put the UK post code after the last line of your address. The tag arrived about 5 days after order
For anyone who is interested, the tags also work if you are on a motorbike - put it in a pocket near the front of the bike and use the unrestricted height lane usually on the right hand side of the booths and it will recognise you as cat 5 and charge the correct fee
