We've just agreed a deal to buy a '13 plate D4 that needs a tow bar. I want a fixed bar rather than removable and I'm looking for recommendations. Do I stick with LR OEM or is there a better aftermarket solution?
Thanks in advance. Darren

Tow trust one one eBay for £170 brand new. I have the Witter one and if I had seen the TT one for that price I would have gone for it

Don't go on the RRP on the site! I got mine direct from them and they did a good deal, it was much nearer the witter price. I would suggest phoning them and asking for a price, I also got vehicle specific 13 pin electrics that fitted without problem. Nothing but praise for the product and their customer service.

I decided to buy direct, IIRC it was only about £20 difference than buying on eBay. I figured that it was worth it get the satisfaction of buying from the manufacturer, and as you can see from my earlier post they sorted an issue I had effortlessly. Let us know how you get on.

I've just bought a Tow Trust TL1HKF. Paint finish is poor on the side support bars so I plan on getting blasted zinc sprayed and powder coated. Defender 300Tdi 110 HCP - Keswick Green

SGH, does it have rust on it or does it just look like it's not that good a finish? I didn't think mine looked overly great but I have had it for 2 years and absolutely no sigh of rust!
If it's new send it back or query it with them.

The coating seems so thin that you can see the bare metal grinning through in places on the welds. Defender 300Tdi 110 HCP - Keswick Green

This may help, as I say I didn't think that the coating looked that good and looked thin but as I said 2 years on no rust!
