Tonight I have been offered
£15900 for my 59 plate D4, in bali blue with 80000k on.
If i then put down £5100 I get a brand new Landmark of my choice, nothing to pay for 2 years then a balloon of £35400 or then 0% over 3 years.
Does it sound a good deal? In 5 years I wonder what depreciation will have been with the D5 coming out.?

Well, I pushed the deal a bit and couldn't refuse in the end. I join club Landmark next Wednesday all going to plan.
Thanks to all for words of wisdom and encouragement

Having seen a D5 on the road I've decided to go for a new D4 before they're all gone....
Found a pre-registered Landmark for £49,990 with 50 miles on the clock (delivery) and a pre-registered HSE Luxury with 25 miles (delivery) also for £49,990 - which sounds like it would be the better deal? I don't even know the difference between the models and the dealer didn't either !!!

Personally I have a HSE Lux and it wants for nothing. Things like leather dash and door tops, leather grab handles set it apart (or did when I bought it)

I originally went in to cancel my D5 deposit but have decided to continue on the understanding with my salesman that he would do me a good deal on a Landmark (if any available, ex demo etc). He has a customer in mind for my D4 SE, the guy can't quite stretch to a graphite so my car is the next best thing, he seems happy with the spec and willing to wait until early next year my salesman told him it would be strong money. So I will see what happens over the next few months regarding the D5.23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Not really sure what the Lux / Landmark spec differences are but either has all I'm looking for.
I'd have bee happy with another HSE if that was still an option, the RSE will be nice tho.

Thanks guys, didn't look like there were many differences so I think I'll go for the HSELux, just because it's dark grey with a black pack, which looks cool. Might sleep on it first...

Surely in 5 years the Landmark will be worth more than 35400 do you think?
No. How is that likely when your six-and-a-bit year old one is worth £15k? It will be worth about £20k and you'll be seriously underwater.

Great colour combo I always had black discos prior to this one which really does look good especially with privacy and chunky tyres MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Love the colour... especially with the black pack but wasn't sure about black wheels... however the price seems right so deposit paid and I'm in a new one from next week - funny how that's still exciting!

I had reservations on the wheels but once it arrived it really worked. Only down side is they show curbing really well so a large supply of black touchup is necessary with SWMBO vs the local starbucks drive through corners and curbs MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten
