Collected it yesterday.
Apologies for the rubbish phone pics, the colour is lighter, especially in the sun:
Initial thoughts:
Too early to tell if the Adblue mapping does feel faster or not, as I'm keeping the revs down. It could well be the placebo affect of a new car, but the engine does feel smooth.
I like the extended leather and the Landmark badge on the side (instead of the SDV6 one)
I like the Landmark floor mats, but have already changed them for rubber ones for practical reasons.
The RSE system is going to require me to RTFM
Having a TV is a novelty, could be useful at times though.
I don't like the shiny extended roof rails. From the side view, they mask the stepped roof, a design feature that I've always thought looked good. That's just my opinion of course, no doubt others like them. Do the extended bits at the front actually have a function or are they just decorative?
With Waitommo Grey, I'm not sure about the colour of the DISCOVERY bonnet lettering, with the back grill, mirrors and side vents, I think they'd look better in black. I could of course change the badging, but probably wont.
I'll be fitting 19" rims with Pirelli ATR's when I get round to it.
Chatting to the salesman, who I've dealt with for all my Disco's, he thought that the late model D4's would be in demand when more information on the D5 is released. The D5 being less likely to appeal to those Disco owners who enjoy the "working" qualities of the D3/4. This has of course been well discussed on this forum.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
