Things to do around Bude?
Heading down to Bradworthy just outside Bude next week with the family (wife and 2 boys 5 and 1), father and lady friend, 2 dogs and the mother in law.
Any personal recommendations of things to do? Keeping everything crossed for good weather.
On the list of possibilities;
Big sheep,
Beach
Camel trail
Boscastle
Tintagel post office
Boat trip
Afternoon/cream tea.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks.

Bude beach very nice, safe and sheltered, recommend a learn to surf day
Walk along cliffs to Widemouth, also nice beach
Tintagel headland a nice walk, post office over rated in my view
Port Isac nice, particularly if you're a Doc Martin fan
Eden Project is possible and well worth visit
Clovely nice mooch about, but pricey for what it is
Tamar Lakes nice inland walk, and Parkrun Saturday if you fancy it.
Atlantic Village if you want some retail therapy
Been to Bude a lot lately as friends now own CL down there!

Thanks Gents.
Post office is not my thing that's the MiL's idea and have to keep her happy.
Like you said the coastline around GCHQ is lovely to walk along and majoritively dog friendly.
Hadn't thought about the Eden project.
Summerleaze beach and life's a beach are both being visited.
Any recommendations for places to eat?

Look out for the "Tin Man' this week. He's in Liskeard today and will end up in Merrion tonight and finally at Geevor down by St Just at the end of his tour of Cornwall.

It would be interesting doing a poll on the Eden project...... Some absolutely love it and many agree with me that it is .
Great engineering and use of an old industrial complex but I thought it was expensive and nothing there to justify the expense.....it's like a zoo without the animals..... You really have to be into your plants...personally I get more out of going down to the local nursery....

Hope it went well.
Good holiday if wet at times. Some sun burn from today. Journey home a tad uncomfy so far.D3 HSE TDV6 Auto. Bonatti Grey.
