I knew I should have stayed out of the showroom........
I made the fatal mistake of just calling in to the showroom at Guy Salmon Maidstone yesterday and an hour later I'd signed up for a new Landmark.
I was considering a new one whilst they are still available but wasn't sure I was ready to part with my trusty 3 after spending lots of time and money on her.
Anyway the decision is made and I'm looking forward to the new car.
She is already built so will be with the dealer in a week or so.
I'll post some pictures up when she arrives.D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.
D3 2005 HSE, Bonatti Grey, now sold but still comes back for servicing.
Defender 2002 Td5 Commercial, had a hard life but slowly being restored.

I had the dealers on the phone yesterday trying to get me to 'just call in for a chat' as they have some great deals on at the moment I've resisted so far Cheers Ian

Thanks for the support
It was a tough decision as they are not cheap but I intend to keep her long term so it will work out ok.
I will sell my D3 on here Dubbs once I've changed over everything I need to and removed the chevrons.
I would like her to go to a forum member so she can be appreciated.
I'm sure there are plenty of miles left in her yet as most of the parts have now been replaced
It has been a labour of love especially with all the help from the forum D4 2016 Landmark, Waitomo Grey.

Well the new car is here and so far I'm very pleased.
I haven't done many miles yet as I'm not working this week but it will soon rack up the miles.
It does feel a lot more refined than the D3 and the 8 speed box is very smooth.
I'm not keen on the stop start system or the flappy paddles as they just seem to get in the way.
The rotorary gear selector is unusual as well but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
I know we all like some pictures:

Have you parked in the furthest car park at Hempstead valley
Looking good you will get used to the flappy paddles. I was always knocking mine when I first got them.
