Whoops I didn't get round to posting any more pictures. Anyway, we used Fjord Line (https://www.fjordline.com/). As I said above, if you're travelling north it knocks a decent amount of distance off the trip.D3 SE with Hankook MT 275/65/R18, IID BT Tool, ProSpeed rock/tree sliders + compressor guard, RLD sump guard & winch tray + 13,000lb hidden winch, Gearbox guard, Frontrunner 80l aux tank with fuel gauge, V8 brake upgrade, Traxide USI-160 dual battery system, Frontrunner ladder, custom boot storage, Lazer LED driving lights, de-cat exhaust, Aftermarket Oro TPMS, i7 Mac Mini touch screen install (running Windows 10) mirrored on rear screens.

Thanks - it certainly does take a lot off the trip, i couldnt see if they allow dogs on that route - which may be why we didnt look at them, ill need to look closer at itMike

hi, great trip definitely!!
A silly question, in the picture of the instrument cluster, where we can see the limp mode, have you also damaged the speed indicator? It seems that it marks zero speed and the d3 does not seem to be standing !!
thanks and happy new year

I'd be interested too. Looking at a holiday from 8th April. May try Iceland instead though.

+1 for the March/April question.
Thanks for the write up, I'll be heading from the UK around 23rd March, through Europe and Denmark to Sweden, up to Nordkapp then back down through Norway returning for April 13th'ish.
Thanks for the write up, very helpful. We also don't have a fridge but I figured roof rack storage except for direct sunlight should be sufficient.D4.5 Facelift, Lazer ST4, Prospeed underbody and rack, IID BT, Compomotive/BFG KO2, Series MFlaps, RAI, Dog Gd+XBB, Alive Tuned, T-Max/YellowTop, RemoteFBH, GlassesMod, WheelWinchMod, Jack Mod, LED Mods, Seized Crank Mod....

Just been having a look at my return route from Northcape(ish) this coming July. Whilst a large chunk of it will be the E6, there is a very scenic alternative to a large part of it in the Fv17. It starts shade to the E of Bodo (turn off the E6 at Fauske) then follows the coast south. I've done it from Bodo to Mo I Rana and it's fantastically scenic and relaxed. Thinking about doing the rest of it from Mo I Rana down to N of Trondheim. Lots of single track roads for after the Fv17 ends. It's not the fastest road in Norway (for covering distance rather than out & out speed) as it has several ferries on the route (tolls ~£90 unless I've missed some) but it's supposed to be one of the must-do roads in the north, as witnessed by the number of campervans on it in the summer. Then down to Kristiansund for the Atlantic Highway.

I made a little video of our trip, shows some of the road conditions if anyone is interested. I don't think it will play on mobile devices as my girlfriend decided she wanted the soundtrack to be Justin Bieber!
