No problem. Strata is not hard. Over-hyped if anything. I'm doing it again on the weekend of the 9th September. You can avoid the bomb hole if you wish.

Assume the pic in your Avatar is not from that run? Could be interesting in a D3 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

Ive only done it in the Defender. It's what's it's for. The G4 goes normally goes off tarmac abroad, it's a mile cruncher - it's what it's for lol. Although I organise and do a Peak District Laning trip each year for the G4 club. I have been along Strata with two G4's and a stock D3 though. No damage caused. And 2 out of 3 went through the bomb hole. Go for it. Take your time. Enjoy yourself.

D3 could do bombhole. Our last trip a standard D2 did it with little drama, but tbh its easier just to bypass it.
Check out Soar Y Mynd a bit further on, a very nice lane, not hard or technical, but the views are great.

As long as it hasn't been raining hard for weeks before hand it should be fine.
We've been after some very heavy rain before and the crossings have been fine with bog standard v8 discos going through.
The first time I did it, I was very worried as Gloucester had actually flooded the week we went, but over there the water level was fine.
The strata in my opinion is very over rated. There are far better and more challenging lanes in Wales. It gets bigged up a lot, and the first trip there I was left very underwhelmed, possibly because the lanes we did after were so much better. If you just go do that and nothing else it's probably better.
Don't get me wrong it's a nice lane to bumble down, but further north is far superior.
