Adam - I have just one key, and would like two working keys. Are you able to provide a new spare key for me? I have just bought a Gap tool and I think that will allow me to program the new key to the car?
Once I have a new working spare I can then send you my existing key that is falling apart, so that you can refurb that.
Many thanks in advance.

This may help others:
Hi Richard,
Normally I would PM an answer but this question comes up quite often so I hope you don't mind me replying on the open forum as it will be helpful to others too hopefully.
I'm afraid I do not supply entire new keys i.e with a new PCB etc. I know these can be bought from a LR dealer at about £200, or, there are places on eBay from China selling them. I have NO IDEA if these are good, I can tell you that I have had to repair many of those Chinese copies, as they came with non rechargeable batteries (though advertised as being rechargeable) soldered onto the PCB in a very heath robinson fashion, with no plastic battery cradle and the PCB itself looks fundamentally different to a genuine item.
The work I perform is to put the existing PCB into a new shell, and to replace the battery with a brand new Panasonic VL2330 3V rechargeable unit while it is open. I re-use the existing blade so there is no need to have one cut, you get what looks and feels like a brand new key.
Regards

Thank you Adam for the detail.
I’ll order a new key from LR and then sync it using my Gap tool. Once up and running I’ll then send over my old one to you for refurbishment.
Thanks again.

I’ve bought a few of these empty key fob cases now to do this job myself. My old blade was less than a perfect fit into the new cases, and always felt a bit tight, and never fully sprang open when the button was pushed. Apparently the cases changed very slightly at some point and the pivot point was fractionally different to older key cases?
Can you confirm that this won’t be the case here, and the key will be perfectly functioning? Propelled across the land in a carriage of no horse drawn, belching Satan’s black wind into our clean and local air.
