What is the differences between the dog guard and non dog guard (original) one, apart from the fact it can be used with a dog guard. The dg one looks a bit deeper (from floor to headlining), but can't see if it's shorter from front to back. Any one experience of the 2 versions?

Happy with mine. Jackets up there along with dog towels and bowls.
Irritates the dogs no end as I put the dog treats up there as well. Such small pleasures... Series 2a V8 killed it

Disco 300tdi. White
Disco 300tdi. Iceland and back. What a trip and no frozen drumsticks!
P38. Loved that car. Still miss it.
MGZS 180 major smiles for miles. Gone.

MG TF - bought for SWMBO. She doesn't like it. Shame. To sell or not to sell.
Triumph Thunderbird 1600 - awesome
About the rattle as mentioned by BBDisco3, I have a spare 2 litres of 'Upol raptor' coating so was considering coating this rack to help dull the tinny sound of it.
The actual rack doesn't rattle, its very secure and no movement from the fixings.
However, the torch is hard plastic and tends to easliy slide on the smooth rack when going around corners. One day I will gert around to putting a piece of anti slip matting under it.
If it's a standard round handled torch I've bolted some of these into the holes at the back lip where you load it and they work well also easy access for torch and gives you bit more space for something else up there.

Seriously pondering on one of these but really would like to see what they look like from the rear view mirror view.
Do they obstruct vision out of the back by much?Last of the D4 HSE...

I was thinking one of these would be useful for coats etc but looking at the dimensions and boxes which fit makes me think it wouldn't be. How do you get stuff out that's loaded furthest in, ie closest to the middle seats?
