Since I haven't gotten a response back from Flatdog UK I'm going to ask here in hopes of getting some good information.

I'm really liking this Mantec Load Lugga and was thinking of adding it to my D3 as I've got a storage problem.

It would be VERY helpful to get the dimensions of the 2 different size shelf's they have. I've read through this thread and gained some good insight and understand that the LR Dog Cage version is smaller but hangs lower from the roof so you could potentially fit larger items up there.

One of my questions is: Could you use the mounting hardware for the LR Dog Cage version with the Non Dog Cage version to have the largest shelf space but also have it hang lower?

All of the pictures I've seen of this in use is on vehicles that don't have sun roofs. Mine being USA version is all sun roof and I'm wondering about padding so things don't bounce up and break the glass roof. I'm worried about sun damage of items I place on the shelf as well.

Any insight would be much appreciated. I think knowing the size of each shelf would be the most important piece of info I need to make a decision, and how far down they each hang from the roof.

I wish I could buy one of these but NOBODY, not here on this forum, on the FlatDog website, or FlatDog Facebook page has answered any portion of my simple question. I'm not about to buy both versions and ship them to the USA and return the unused product.

Ben at Mantec was very helpful to me when I sent him some questions before I purchased one. He is the person who probably will reply if you use their contact form.

Well mine arrived today Very Happy
Good bit of kit I must admit, everything I expected quality wise..
I have slightly tweaked the installation of mine, due to it being fitted behind the dog guard.
I wanted to store a 'Really Usefull Box' which contains both Jetboils and basic brew equipment and first aid kit.
Instead of the lugga sitting on the brackets,it now hangs from,I added a few (4) longer bolts and spacers to enable my box to fit in.
It now hangs down 30mm more than it should do..
Pictures enclosed..
