17th Nov will suit me wonderfully (now to get SWMBO to disappear long enough to rub out the hoped-for scratch marks and minor dings). Where to meet and what time?

I'm in! I live in Scarborough but in-laws are at Baldivis aned we'll stay there night before; so if anyone wants to meet me at Caltex at end of Freeway and drive down in convoy please let me know. I cannot plan that far ahead. If it is ok, I will confirm closer to the time. 
It would be great to play, and from what I hear, Harvey is great, especially after some rains. Lotsa mud.

As my photo moniker shows, I will probably not be able to attend the upcoming Harvey trip as planned.  At least no one was hurt and the airbags didn't trigger (but I have no idea why not). The fabulous D3 brake system pulled me to a stop quickly and exactly where I wanted to be, but alas, the oncoming Hilux wasn't so sophisticated and we were driving on those wonderful Perth hills "ball bearing" gravel roads. He also had on a nice fishing rod holder which slotted the gap to the radiator perfectly. I did want to get the radiator fluid changed sometime in the next few months - I guess someone else will be paying for a new radiator and the fluid. I'll let people know how long the repairs are. That's a bummer, DingMark! Hope you get it fixed and back on the road soon!
Hilux's are shocking things to drive. The rear end has a mind of it's own. Have a nice day!

Dingmark - I feel for you - nothing worse than seeing your D3 all bent-up. Hope all okay and no one hurt? Can agree with you about those perth hills - we came over a crest and almost ran over an x-trail on the weekend.
RichardK et al - will have to sit out the forthcoming Harvey trip as have an all day bucks party on that day. Hope you all have a lot of fun and look forward to tagging along on the next one.

Guys, I havent had time to get new tyres (actually still unsure what to get in AT's (General Grabbers maybe??) so I'm on Goodyear Wranglers; and still havent got a front bash plate...as again trying to work out what to get....I guess what I am saying is am I mad coming along with out any protection  or will you tailor our little adventure to cater for my lack of appropriate tyres etc???? I hope to have the car sorted before Xmas but def lack experience in this area and need help and advice with all these things  Still not sure who to get to help me with dual battery set up / extra 12V's in back, hella plugs, anderson plug etc etc (this is all VERY new to me!); would really like a reputable 4wd place in Perth who could do this for me.... Not a problem BlackPerth, we will cater for the standard D3, you will find it very capable and while there you can view the accessories that I know Disco 4x4 and I have fitted which covers your requirements
