Approved used checklist
Just picked up my approved used 15 plate D4 (?MY16). Should there be evidence of the 165 point checklist with it?
As lower tailgate wire support not attached on one side due to missing clip, and a number if other issues I am questioning if it was performed?
Any advice welcome.

First 16MY Discovery's were built late June 2015 so it could well be a 16MY. Easy way to check, look next to the diesel filler and if there's an Ad Blue filler it's a 16MY, if there isn't it's a 15MY.

I think it would reasonable to ask for evidence and for the check to be repeated, perhaps with you there, if there are glaring errorsSill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders

Ad blue filler present. I'll ask for some evidence and see how we go. So far tailgate, temperature 3 degrees high, poor shut upper tailgate and some minor cosmetic glue issues round numberplate and no stop/start.... Bit disappointed. Direct from LR to dealer at 17000 miles from management fleet. Thought whole point of 'approved' was a proper check...
Any chance of linking to, or posting, the 165 point checklist please?
It would be useful if one was looking at a 2nd hand D4 even if not LR Approved.

Given the issues I've had with mine (being rejected Under the 30 day return) - I'd say they don't do anything other than wash it and stick it out!!

I'd agree with what Braehead says above, I've seen LR's on the forecourt with noticably flat tyres, oil leaks, air conditioning leaks, poor body repairs ( where you could actually see sanding marks under the paint ), and these were cars less than 2 yrs old...... I would place absolutely no trust in their however many point check it was supposed to be. D3 owned from new, P017 brake recall, BAS FBHIC, new FBH, LR013487 oil pump, new water pump. RRS front lower suspension arms. New suspension compressor/ relay. New Denso alternator. CuNifer rear brake pipes. New GKN rear propshaft. New HPFP belt & tensioner. New A/C Condenser.NO WARRANTY for many many years.

Just had exactly the same experience with mine. A whole load of things from trim panels falling off, missing clips and screws, knackered battery etc. etc. The checklist is a joke, however they did a service for me, even though it wasn't due until Jan 17! Very kind of them, but I do wonder why they did it!?!?D4 MY14 XXV - RLD/IID BT
